Have you ever wondered how you are supposed to take advantage of the fuel savings Kroger advertises when your local Kroger’s does not have it’s own gas station? Well, Kroger has teamed up with Shell to provide consumers with an extended choice for savings. At select Shell locations nationwide, consumers can take advantage of their fuel rewards on their Kroger Shoppers Card.
How to Save on fuel cost at a Kroger gas station
According to the program web page, consumers can now save up to $1 a gallon based on purchases made at Kroger’s using the Kroger Shoppers Card.
100 Points = 10 cents off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
200 Points = 20 cents off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
1000 Points = $1 off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
Present your shoppers card at the pump when prompted and follow the on screen directions. Or visit Kroger’s Save on Fuel Program for more information.
How to Save on fuel cost at a Shell station
Shop at Kroger’s using your Shoppers card and earn point redeemable for fuel savings. For every $100 you spend on groceries you will receive 100 points. For every two Non-federally funded prescriptions you purchase you will receive 100 points. And receive double gift card points (normal exclusions apply) for example if you purchase a gift card for $50 you will receive 100 points.
Then when you are ready to fill up, stop at a participating Shell station and follow the directions at the pump. If paying inside, see cashier BEFORE inserting your Kroger Plus Card. BEFORE you insert your payment card, follow the screen prompts to initiate the Kroger discount process. Insert your Kroger Plus Card, or manually enter your alternate ID or your loyalty card number found on the back of your loyalty card or key fob. Select your form of payment and fuel grade. Save 10¢ per gallon up to a maximum of 35 gallons of fuel per purchase.
